Biography

Dr. Nathan Abraham is a board certified ophthalmologist who specialises in cataracts, cornea, and refractive surgery. Dr. Abraham is a Southern California native and obtained his Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of California, Riverside. He then went on to earn a Master’s degree in Microbiology from Loma Linda University followed by earning an MD degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine.

Dr. Abraham completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. He then went on to his ophthalmology training at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Abraham continued his training with completion of a fellowship in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery at the prestigious UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles, CA.

‘My Vision Is to Improve Sight!’ This is the slogan that Dr. Abraham created, trademarked, and uses as his guide to patient care. Dr. Abraham’s ophthalmology professional work experience led him to Central Illinois where he served as a comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Carle Hospital Eye Department in Champaign/Urbana, IL. During his year in the MidWest, Dr. Abraham treated thousands of patients and performed over 300 surgeries.

Being a Southern California native, Dr. Abraham then returned to Los Angeles, CA where he founded the Abraham Eye Center as a solo practice ophthalmologist in March 2021.

Dr. Abraham is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO) and is an active member of the American Association of Ophthalmology (AAO), He has also been involved in clinical research studies aimed at maximizing visual outcomes in patients with high degrees of irregular astigmatism undergoing cataract surgery. He has also been involved in refractive surgery research. His research experience in ophthalmology has helped guide Dr. Abraham in his own clinical practice aimed at delivering precision and the highest quality of care to his patients.

Dr. Abraham’s hobbies include being an avid NFL Football fan, maintaining salt water aquariums both at home and in the office, as well as outdoor activities at the beach and mountains.
